Operational capability is not measured solely by the experience of expatriate personnel. It is equally defined by the capability of the local national teams who support and enable every mission.
A highly trained expatriate team means little if the people working alongside them are not developed to the same standard. This is not a training philosophy. It is an operational one.
What Local Capability Actually Means
Local national teams bring something expatriate personnel cannot replicate on their own: continuity, local knowledge, and the relationships that make an operation function on the ground.

They are the ones who remain when a contract ends and a new one begins. They carry institutional knowledge forward. When they are trained to the same standard (or close to) as our expatriate personnel, the whole operation becomes stronger, not just one part of it.
Knowledge Transfer as a Deliberate Process
We do not treat this as incidental. Structured training, mentoring, and continuous professional development are built into how we operate, not added on as an afterthought.
Knowledge transfer is what creates resilient teams. It strengthens local capability, improves communication, and enhances operational effectiveness across every level of an operation.

Standards, Not Just Intentions
This is also why we operate to ISO 18788 and PSC.1 standards. These frameworks exist precisely to ensure that quality, competence, and accountability are not dependent on any one individual. They require structured management systems, and structured management systems require every member of a team, expatriate and local national alike, to meet the same standard.
Compliance on paper means nothing if the people delivering the work are not equipped to meet it.
A Legacy Beyond the Contract
Every engagement ends. The capability we build should not.
When we invest in local national personnel through structured training and mentoring, we are not just delivering a service. We are building a legacy that extends beyond any single contract, one that stays with the people and the region long after our work there is done.
Operational excellence isn’t just about what you know as an individual. It’s about what your team knows as a collective.
